it was the worst concert i've ever been to in my life. the last thing i expected from Her Madgesty was

this train wreck... awful sound (apparently due to "tower being down"???), she came on over an hour late (leaving loads of people stranded at wembley tube at midnight), lip-synched most of the show, destroyed her old pop hits by playing electric guitar through them, and most gallingly, left the stage every three-four songs for an outfit change, during which time we watched videos!!

yes, she's incredibly fit (for any age let alone 50) and a fantastic dancer. but i couldn't even see her from where i sat and the screens were so small that they didn't help much. total waste of ?100, but even more gutted about the waste of an evening.

ok, rant ended.

anyone else have similar view?

Ah, the Madge. Let me count the ways I hate thee

Leaving aside the "looks great for her age" thing - (if I am married to anyone who looks like that when she is 50 I am reconsidering the deal. Not "good" - more "freaky") rumours abound about the trouble on this tour. Not that I will give tittle-tattle any credence

Still, I have long been known to rant at the drop of a hat about how I am unable to understand women falling at Madonna's feet when she is clearly possessed by some weird.. thing. Those eyes. the purple leotard. The video dragging men off the street to sexually "tease" them. And as for Kaballah... People of her stature have bad tours - let's not damn her for that alone. And no-one does a good gig at Wembley really.

Some top tunes over the years mind... And sorry you are out of pocket on the deal as well

true, wembley is not a good place for a gig unless you are in the really expensive seats and then you may as well spend that sort of monsy on a night out in a poncey restaurant. But when I saw her (not on this tour though) It was pretty good.

Big tours suck. I'm going to try the goose is out next time.

Went to see her once years ago, but would never go back. Was bored rigid and also came down in the middle of the show and went into a huff.

After watching that video of her scrapping her fanny along the floor, (oh it's dancing you say?) lost what tiny bit of respect I had.

Sympathies OP.

I?ve seen Madonna a few times and she is a bit hit and miss. More miss than hit these days. To be fair though, she has always charged a huge wedge for tickets and she has always changed her outfit several times during the show ? so no change there. She was bang out of order coming on so late though. It?s a nightmare getting home from Wembley stadium at the best of times, but with no tube! Ayyyy

My main issue with Madonna ? and it?s a sore point ? is her Vagina. Madge?s Vadge; it?s omnipresent. Does girl need surgery to close her legs?

Let?s be honest here, little boys, as soon as they are old enough to realise that they have a penis, get terribly excited about it and like to show it off. This can apply to big boys too but let?s save that for another thread. Girls don?t tend to show off their Lady Gardens. Except for Madonna. First in the pink leotard and now in the black one. It?s right in my face and I no likey.

My heart goes out to the staff at Warner Brothers in LA who came to work one sunny morning to find that Madonna had been plastered over the outside of their building over-night and their office window was now looking directly out of Madge?s Vadge. Here it is?.

    • Alas, poor Toadflax!  And gentle Alkanet.
    • Generally wild flowers which are indigenous to the UK are more likely to be supporting more wild life than introduced species, more commonly found in gardens, simply because wild life hasn't had time to adapt to it. Although of course many introductions which flower will be supporting pollinators more generally. (This would also be true of native as opposed to introduced tree and scrub species). And I suspect plants which are flowering over public space, even if rooted on private private, are being removed to stop them setting seed in public space. [Although many might see that as a good thing if the plants have merits of their own).
    • Good question. I think the benefit of some wild flowers is that they appear earlier in the spring and provide nectar for insects coming out of hibernation. Also, natives have evolved with the insects, some of which can only survive with certain native plants. For example, some species of  caterpillars need a specific native plant for their food. Having said that, I've seen lots of pollinators having a field day on some non native flowers. My bees love my verbena bonariensis for example.
    • Genuine question- are wild flowers/weeds better for wildlife than cultivated flowers? My cultivated flowers and their seeds attract birds, bees and all kinds of insects, maybe more so than wild flowers.
