I'd like to highly recommend Sylvain. He managed to fit me into his schedule at short notice to come out and fix a rotting fence that had finally succumbed to the wind we had lately.

He worked incredibly hard - the first day in driving rain and wind. He also proved to be a great problem-solver and advised me on the best fencing to have to suit my needs. It looks lovely and solid. His rates are reasonable and similar to others recommended here.

I'm booking him to put up a shed for me next and to burglar-proof my front gate into the back by erecting wood panels, as well as to lay a new lawn for me in the Spring and pressure wash my patio. And I know all will be done with his usual French ?lan and je ne sais quoi!

Another recommendation for Sylvain, who has just laid a reclaimed Victorian tile path, bedded slate slabs and rebuilt the front garden wall at our house, which looks superb!

Very reliable and hardworking, and most importantly excellent attention to detail and quality of work (and I'm fussy!)

Even with a few days of bad weather he always kept me informed of when he was along next.

Well priced with careful accurate quotes that cover what you asked for!

Would definitely use him again.

PM me if you want photos.

    • IMO, Sealy, the best nights sleep you'll ever have.
    • I don’t know what the shop was originally next to the big St Christopher’s but if Holland and Barrett are taking it over then surely it’s good to have a choice on Lordship Lane? The Camberwell H&B is always empty but the Brixton branch busy.  I remember when the Marks & Spencer food shop was Iceland? Now the M&S is a very busy store and at the time regenerated the high street!
    • Nor would I have done, but it came up when I googled John Lewis reviews. Do you not trust TrustPilot reviews? Even allowing for the fact that many people only post reviews when they have had poor service, 27% one star reviews is indicative of something wrong, I would say. That's 27% of 76,392 reviews. That's an awful lot of people who don't  think the service they got from John Lewis was even worth two stars, let alone more. Screenshot attached.
    • Yes I agree much of what they sell  is unhealthy rubbish, but they do have some good things, some of which are not sold by Health Matters (so far as I know) eg sprouted rye bread. Once it's open I slice and freeze it. Though whether they sell that in their shops or just online, I don't know.
