Thanks to the windstorms some weeks ago, sagging posts gave way, fencing panels lay askew. Jan Perrott of Silver Fern Landscapes, found through the Forum, talked us out of expensive alternatives and installed quickly, neatly, and cleanly "rescue posts" -- deep in-ground concrete struts bolted to the good bits of the above-ground wooden posts -- that held against the most recent gusts.

He arrived when he said he would, carried out the work tidily, and charged reasonably.
