watching inplayer - advice please

I am watching episode three of salamander on iplayer, on the mac. It is a subtitled drama but I cannot get rid of the black strip with the synopsis of the episode at the bottom of the iplayer screen - effectively blocking the subtitles. how do I get rid of this?
