I am on a tight budget, and find the cheap prices and convenience of the store in Lordship lane, extremely helpful.

The staff there are amazing, there also helpful & friendly, No such experience in Peckham branch, with there very lengthy cues, & the majority of the staff are Rude and unfriendly.

I would be devastated to lose my Iceland and its lovely staff... :(

I'm with you Tweenies though I wouldn't go as far as saying 'devastated'. I'd miss their spicy veggie burgers and like the fact I can get in and out of there with some basics really quickly. Their staff seem genuinely nice. Though any staff in a service industry should be sacked for not meeting minimum standards in dealing with their customers.

I went in there last Friday behind a bloke who was doing the tune, "Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner..." in a brrrrump-ah-damp-ah-dump-amp-a-dump-a-adum....kind of a way. Bit difficult to explain but a bit like a vocal trumpet.

Right made my day!

And totally agree...the staff are great.

    • Wish they get rid of the tree in Barry Rd adjacent to the Plough, The roots are all over the place, Council re tarmacked them some time ago but makes the pavement uneven. You cannot get a mobility scooter over them as tarmac slopes. Witness a lady with wheelchair trying to get over , in the end her carer had to help over with 2 crutches then push the empty chair over. Also young children using scooters/bikes have fallen off at this point. Hubby spoke to tarmac workers when the work was done and they felt the area was very dangerous to pedestrians and the council should have authorised the removal of both tree and roots. Some prams cannot get over as well. Prior to Christmas, mother/carer with 2 children in double buggy had to walk in road with on coming traffic. We do need trees   I have 2 in my garden - one is well over 50 years old and we have it pollard every few years to prevent it damaging neighbours property.
