I would like to recommend Dulwich Property Services.

Some time ago they fitted a new bathroom for me, replastered the room and re-tiled. They did a fantastic job, were very clean and finished the job to a very high standard.

I then decided recently I would ask them to paint a couple of the rooms in my house. Once again I wasn't disappointed and the level of finish was very high.

I wouldn't hesitate to pass their details on to any of my friends!

After a bad experience I had with a handyman from the forum, I would urge anybody following up an ad cohere to check the following

The name, address and phone no do show up in google, and don't seem to have been made up just for the purposes of the Edf

Check the company name at companies house

Does the handyman have evidence of liability insurance and professional qualifications

Is there feedback from verifiable long term posters

There has been a rash of postings on the forum from brand new handymen, who seem to spring from nowhere and are recommended mostly by brand new forum users, who post fulsome praise, repetitively.

I would be very cautious.

    • As a note of recommendation, I did this course in Rye Oak Centre, Peckham and gained so much from it. Was such a lovely, supportive group.
    • Wish they get rid of the tree in Barry Rd adjacent to the Plough, The roots are all over the place, Council re tarmacked them some time ago but makes the pavement uneven. You cannot get a mobility scooter over them as tarmac slopes. Witness a lady with wheelchair trying to get over , in the end her carer had to help over with 2 crutches then push the empty chair over. Also young children using scooters/bikes have fallen off at this point. Hubby spoke to tarmac workers when the work was done and they felt the area was very dangerous to pedestrians and the council should have authorised the removal of both tree and roots. Some prams cannot get over as well. Prior to Christmas, mother/carer with 2 children in double buggy had to walk in road with on coming traffic. We do need trees   I have 2 in my garden - one is well over 50 years old and we have it pollard every few years to prevent it damaging neighbours property.
    • Just that really - lookiing for a box to fit size 45 x 45 x 55 cm. Many thanks
    • Re tea cost at the Viet Restaurant. One small pot of tea we had two small cups out of it. If we had a pot each would understand the price but not one small pot.
