Because it would cause delays at the lights, as it's a crossroads? It would be another phase of the lights, wouldn't it?

You can't turn right into East Dulwich Road coming from Crystal Palace Road, either. You have to turn left and go round the Goose Green roundabout and back up again.

Or go straight on to Adys and perform a cunning U-ey in time to then go left onto EDR the next time the lights phase in your favour.

The same irritation comes if you instead head up Barry and Rye Lane instead of CPR. In that case you then have to loop over the top of Peckham Rye to come back down the other side and then turn left towards Nunhead.

Not very green to make cars queue with their engines running either but I think its more safety and sometimes- well actually usually isnt it safety first? Hang on I will recycle your punctuation !

The restriction at C Pal road caused me a little inconvinience when it first came in and Worlingham Road people asked for traffic calming at it was the alternative. Not sure what happened about that.

Its been there for at least 10 years AFAIK and shows no sign of changing.

    • Where abouts are they? I haven't seen any
    • Yes, been on several over the last 12 years. They are one of the safest planes ever built. The Dreamliner has been in service since 2011 and currently about 1,150 are in operation every day. Safe as houses.
    • One of them climbed a tree and was breaking branches off and lobbing them at people as they walked underneath (myself included). When I stopped, looking shaken, they laughed at me.  Then they moved to near the cafe, climbed onto the roof and lobbed a beer bottle, a shoe, and various other things off the roof. One nearly hit a woman sitting there.  Needless to say they ran off just as I was calling the police.
    • My thoughts exactly when I found them I was thinking hope she is OK, have a feeling her bag was maybe snatched and then these items were just thrown.. I'm sure the police will pass it on to the passport office I just didn't have the time to get over there anytime soon. And agree they wasn't very helpful at all unfortunately I felt I was causing a problem with just handing them in !!
