It's nice in WD, not spectacular, not 'trendy', not 'edgy', it's nice - I can go into all the shops, restaurants, the bank, I know everyone by name and they know me by name. I can go into a branch of HSBC anywhere and they know my name (as it comes up on the screen when they go into my account), but they don't know that I've just had a spinal operation, or that my niece has just had a baby or that the neighbours have got builders in; if I haven't got enough money in the deli or the hairdresser or the bakery it doesn't matter, they know that I'll settle up with them as soon as I can - so yes I love living in WD, I've done the whole Islington bargain (when it was still the cheap one on the Monopoly board) and saw it rise from the ashes; I like the fact that I can go into the deli and not get laughed at and insulted if I mispronounce the name of a salami (as happened in the ED Deli) - although I'm not quite so sure I should be on first name terms with the guys in the off licence....

    • Set of Keys found in Dulwich Park at gates opposite the picture gallery side. Probably from the pocket of a cyclist (bike lock keys included). Message me for return.
    • I've lived on Overhill Road for years and have never had any issue. Many of the flats in Dawson's Heights are privately owned and it has a lovely community feel. We walk through the estate and onto the nature reserve behind it every day - best views of London and a great place to sit and take stock. Also the views from some of the houses on Overhill Road are amazing.
    • Another positive review for Niko! He recently installed a number of appliances for me, including changing some plumbing to remove a loo and install a washing machine - I couldn't be happier with the job. He was friendly and positive from the moment he arrived, reassuring with my concerns and nothing was too much trouble. He evidently takes pride in his work, ensuring everything was done as if it was his own home. He's also astute and fixes other little jobs he notices, such a bonus for someone like me who is not handy at all.  He has a great sense of humor which makes the whole process so enjoyable. I would highly recommend Niko to anyone looking for a reliable, skilled, and personable plumber!  07818 607583
