Ted Max
Release date June 1940. Context for June '40: Dunkirk evacuation just finished. Channel Islands bombed and invaded. Paris occupied.Interesting that this escapist propaganda (the English village as *God's gift*, "learning and loveliness" = England) still holds appeal. computedshorty
I have been looking at the site, it is possible to click on any of the 1900 years there to see what happened that year, I looked on 1931 but could not find my birthday. I did find a Pathe film 1950 of an army Parade in Germany that I was in.
