newtoedf
I am wondering about whether or not to attempt to catch any of the chinese new year celebrations this weekend. Has anyone tried it with small children (mine are 3 and 6)? I am a bit worried it will be too crowded for them to cope with and they won't be able to see anyway. Any advice? swagstar
I'm planning to do this was a 2 and a half year old. Go for it. If it's too crowded you can always leave. I won't be going if it's torrential rain however! cactus
For the past three years we have visited Chinatown on the Saturday, rather than the Sunday. There are plenty of Lion dances going on, accompanied by drummers. The streets are decked out in beautiful lanterns and it's a lot less hectic than the Trafalgar Square celebrations. newtoedf
Great - thanks for the advice. Forecast looks slightly better for sunday than saturday but going on saturday sounds like a good plan. I must check out what's coming up at the Albany too!
