char1ie
Why do the forum moderators feel the need to add "(wanted)" and "(advice wanted)" to thread titles?Charlie Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/4041-wanted-explanation-now-provided/ Share on other sites

char1ie
But if a thread title reads "Is Franklins any good?" why do we need a moderator to add "(advice wanted)" onto the end of it? Isn't that obvious? Charlie Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/4041-wanted-explanation-now-provided/#findComment-128681 Share on other sites
Administrator Administrator Posted August 24, 2008 Administrator Share Posted August 24, 2008 A lot of people put posts such as "cleaner" in the ED issues & gossip section, these are moved and titles changed. When something is not an ED issue or gossip and posted in that section (such as when something is wanted e.g. advice) it is also moved to the "Wanted, offered & recommendations" section, and (wanted) or similar is put in the title to drive it home to people. And it works. So to answer your question, yes it is obvious to you that it is advice wanted however not to others. We try and cover all bases. As this message is about the forum, I am moving it to the about the forum section.
