DulwichFox
Hi ednewmy... What recommendations ?? have you tried. Black screen with Blinking cursor is not the worse scenario. It suggests your PC is alive..Some causes of a black screen are incorrect shutdown of your computer, not waking from sleep mode.Try booting in safe mode. then perform a Clean Shutdown. then reboot.Obvious things to do would be insure you have no external devices connected to your PC.Check you that there is no disc left in your CD drive. If you bios is set to boot from CD as first option this could cause your problem..DulwichFox Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/40360-pc-repair-person-operating-on-a-sunday/#findComment-712835 Share on other sites

JaneWatkins
Hello Ednewmy,I've used this chap in the past and he excellent. Paul at Databugs. The link is here : http://databugs.co.uk/ or on 0207 701 6077. I'm not sure if he repairs on Sundays but he certainly accepts calls. I, and many friends, have used him and he is speedy, conscientious and very reasonably priced.Hope your computer gets better soon. ednewmy
Thanks to all who replied here and PM'ed me. Unfortunately I cannot reply to PMs using my phone - it is a conplete nightmare. I found somewhere open on a sunday and it is currently being repaired. Hopefully it should be done today...hopefully! If they do a good jpb I will recommend them on here. Their quoted price is very reasonable so far and so long as there are no hidden extras!
