Online (or offline) organic/whole/natural food stores?

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone can recommend any good online food stores to buy organic/health food products - for instance spelt flour or pearled spelt, chia seeds, coconut oil, dry pulses etc. Google has thrown up sites like Goodness Direct, Real Foods, Planet Organic, Natural Grocery. Just wanted to see if anyone has any personal experience with any sites (or indeed shops). I looked at Suma, but you have to buy a minimum of ?250 worth of products at a time. Obviously if there can be a balance with quality/provenance and price then that would be great!

Thanks!

I can't post a link but their address is:

organicdeliverycompany.co.uk

I discovered them a few months ago & buy organic fruit & veg from them. They are similar to Abel & Cole/Riverford only better because you can pick and choose exactly what you want from week to week & the quality is excellent.

Customer service is great and always reliable.

They also do a lot of health foods so I would check out their website.

HI there - I got the Suma catalogue too and you make a fair saving buying in bulk from them. I think - unless its changed - that you got free delivery if u spend ?250 - you can get a delivery if u spend less but they charge - not sure how much. They were encouraging people to buy in a group to hit the ?250 mark, so if u know more people near u interested then that might be the way to do it..

    • I don't mind getting the ball rolling, but there would have to be more organisers than just me 🤣 I've got more than enough to do already. Also as I often don't recognise faces or remember names, I wouldn't be an ideal person (though in the old days, we had labels with our forum names on, if memory serves)  Sorry admin, I've gone well off topic.
    • There was a brief discussion on the Lounge about the good old days of the Forum and the drinks where people with differing views seemed to get on fine with each other.  Can't find it or I would give you the link @Earl Aelfheah or @Sephiroth I think one of you had said something along these lines.  Yes go for it Sue!
    • Great idea! Yes, I think the SE22 curry club died a death. The restaurants were all much of a muchness at the time anyway, apart from Ganapati. Nyge and I were also recently  discussing whether people would be interested if we restarted  the Forum Drinks. They used to be fun, but I think the main organiser moved out of the area, as did some others,  and nobody else was very keen on taking it on.  Unless they are still happening covertly 🤣 If memory serves they were monthly, and in a different pub each time. It was good to be able to meet people in real life who post on the forum. I might start a separate thread at some point to see if anyone would be interested.
