Hi!

Does anyone know who to contact about this property? It's been empty for a while and I'm interested in using it for a possible pop up restaurant.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated or in fact any other ideas for empty, unused property in ED for use as a pop up would be great. I know ED well but it's always good to hear from others.

Regards

Tom

A bit quiter but up near the Plough there might be a few possibilities.

The French place next to the Plough has been vacant since they closed several months ago. It looks like a construction site with scaffolding etc, but no work has been done for months. Simarly the Indian take away across the road next to the butcher's is empty. Again, they started doing work in there around October time, then stopped suddenly. Not quite sure what the story is though.

Hopefully you find somewhere, a Burger Bear pop up in ED would be fantastic!

I think they were still working on this up until December - but not sure of what they are doing - they seem to have removed the floors top to bottom so it looks like a full refurb job and not going to be available for some time.

    • Sadly I am not in the market for buying a new car, electric or otherwise, or else I would happily join the Tesla boycott, which seems to be having the desired effect (sales have fallen significantly, and Trump is calling the boycotters Radical Left Lunatics 🤣) I googled to try to find out if I was likely to buy anything American, in order to replace it with something not American, and the only thing I can find so far is Fairy Liquid (of which I already have a lifetime's supply, as I have a dishwasher,  so I rarely actually use the FL). I really don't feel I can google absolutely everything I buy,  but does anyone know of a website which has a comprehensive list of American imports to the UK, including but not solely food and household stuff? Also,  Amazon and eBay are both American, which is annoying as I buy quite a lot from both as it's convenient, so I will have to rethink that, I suppose.
    • Bumping this up as I’m wondering if the owner(s) of these dogs has now got another one being walked off lead and unmuzzled in the same area as reported on here.
    • Really grateful if anyone had any spare moving boxes. Can collect whenever convenient. Thanks
    • Our cat Booboo has been missing since early Sunday morning (09 March).   He's a three-year-old male cat with black fur (short).    He's recognisable from having very big feet - I think about two extra toes on each paw.   He's very nervous of strangers and doesn't go out the front of our house - he mainly hangs out in the back gardens on our block (Goodrich/Barry/Friern Road).   If you spot him please let us know (07771915355).
