This happened to us a few years ago (husband thinks it might have been after Halloween). Upstairs neighbour simply went to B&Q and bought replacement innards, then had new keys cut. Not sure exactly what you need to buy, but maybe someone can advise. Cheaper than getting a locksmith out.

And yes, report it to the police. Usual thing of building up a picture of crime in the area.

    • Oh dear, no I haven't.  I have had Covid and flu jabs this year,  so I just assumed it wasn't Covid. Thanks.
    • When I got covid a couple if years ago it was just like that, especially the bit about it feeling like not as bad as flu but worse than a cold. Have you tested for it? Hope you get over it soon.
    • Not sure whether to put this here or in the lounge, so admin please move if it's in the wrong place. I have got something which seems worse than a cold but not as bad as flu (thankfully). It started with a very sore throat last Thursday morning, then progressed to a  very runny nose on and off plus a cough at the same time, combined with total lack of physical/mental energy. Every time I think it's going away it starts again. I know this is very minor in the great scheme of things/illnesses, and I'm not looking for sympathy, but if anyone else has had it, I'm wondering  how long it's likely to last?
