New Years eve with the children ideas?

We are thinking on going out on new years eve for a nice meal with the children to wait for the new year; are there any good places to go with the children on that day?

Would love to hear what others do with young children to celebrate, aside from staying in and eating loads of choc!

invite several other families over. let the kids have their party upstairs whilst adults eat and drink downstairs. everyone brings a sleeping bag and kips wherever. in the morning the adults take childcare shifts and we have a big cooked breakfast before going to the park to walk it off.
