bonniebird
Thanks Sue, its about 20 feet tall and the root ball is small, like on a cordyline, was wondering if it could be replanted, maybe we'll have to chop it then re plant as it wouldn't stay up by itself, will give it a go, thanks! I have pics but never know how to get them on! DulwichFox
Hi Bonniebird This thread highlights your plight.. http://www.au.gardenweb.com/forums/load/oznative/msg0208170422804.html It would seem that Acacia dealbata is naturally sucseptible to uprooting in high winds. Have a read, but does not give much hope :( Foxy Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/39651-storm-damage-in-east-dulwich/#findComment-706449 Share on other sites

Annette Curtain
A large and rotting branch fell onto a fence nearby, narrowly missing a massive 4x4I had hoped it would take out the other neighbour (ol' Jam Face) as she sleeps at the front of the house, but sadly notHere's to the next storm Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/39651-storm-damage-in-east-dulwich/#findComment-706960 Share on other sites
The Minkey
If it hasn't completely uprooted, you may be able to salvage it. Page 14 of this document has some useful information: http://hort.ufl.edu/woody/documents/FR172.pdf Apparantly, much may depend on the type of tree, its age, and whether the tree trunk is narrower than 4 inches. Either way, it's worth seeking the advice of a trained aborist.
