Voyageur
I reckon Louisa'a about as middle class as they come, and utterly despises herself for it :)I mean CHRIST! What could be more reprehensible that being 'middle class' (whatever the bejeezus that means... tfwsoll
'Also, on the point of mince pies, you can usually tell how middle class a shop is by the positioning of the mince pies in store. You'll notice Sainsbury's don't use the tactics of morrisons and ASDA by placing them in an eye grabbing location. They usually just casually plant them in the bakery area and rarely on offer, it makes them more desirable to the bourgeoise.' So the working classes are basically lazy morons who don't know that they want something unless its piled up high and cheap in front of them??? Louisa
I am borderline middle class in my wine tastes, but I tend to look for bargains, a much more working class trait. My mince pie theory goes a long way in classifying whole social class groups. Anyway, I'd like to wish a very middleclassmas to all my fellow EDers of the puff pastry mince pie loving variety, as well as the rest of us who are stuck eating totally unpretentious short crust pies and enjoying them just as much minus the shenanigans associated with pompousness. Cheers everyone! Louisa. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/39626-sainsburys-forest-hill-quite/page/2/#findComment-706076 Share on other sites

Earl Aelfheah
Is Santa middle class Louisa? The red suit and redistributive tendencies suggest he could be a lefty. Mind you, I bet those elves aren't on minimum wage and he definitely likes the odd mince pie. Difficult call... LadyNorwood
I buy lots of clothes from TU (Sainsbury), F&F (Tesco) and George (Asda) - it's not what you wear, it's how you wear it....
