Cheers SJ ...I think our zeppelin speakers caused the problem as we took them somewhere else and when I bought them back and tried to connect again...problems. I am going to resort to the turning the router off and on

It,s ( the airplay icon) is just not there on any devices so we have nothing to 'send' connect with etc

I've got an airplay receiver on each floor in the house and love the whole thing

But the one on the ground floor (ie kitchen) suffers badly from interruptions/dropouts when the fridge and boiler do their regular throat-clearing. Anyone else get that? Won't be a problem after the new year anyway but just curious if it's common or not

Yes, we had this too 'Jack.

Most evident when playing from Spotify to an AE set up wirelessly to extend the network - with the base station located a couple of brick walls away.

Solved by connecting that AE to the base station using a powerline adaptor instead of wirelessly. ?15 well spent - rock solid since then.

Jack/????

Worked a treat here. 'Net in the kitchen v reliable ever since and running at full speed.

Got some very helpful words of wisdom on here about setting it up too:

- Pair the powerlines first as per instructions that come with them

- Turn everything off and connect everything together

- Switch everything in the chain on one by one in reverse order 'from router out' (which as far as I understand, avoids IP address confusion or some such magic)
