I was off work today and had the pleasure of a suspicious couple of blokes ringing my doorbell. When I answered all they asked was - Is this 2 flats? I replied why are you asking, they said they were looking for a friend who lived in a flat in the area and noticed two doorbells on the door. After askin them to leave, I watched them for a bit and they seemed to walk up and down underhill road looking at houses. Dialed 101, and they had no luck finding them. They definitely seemed dodgy, did anyone else notice them? White male in a grey hoodie, black male in a black coat, both Average build

Hello,

Just wanted to point out that there were two strange men knocking on doors and ringing bells today, when I opened my door to them they seemed quite shocked and started asking for random people, none of who live here or nearby as far as I know. They were wearing hi-vis vests, no logos or identification badges, and then when they left (no apology), they walked off down underhill road not trying any other doors I noticed!

Having been burgled last year I just wanted to point it out so people are vigilant. This is Underhill, over the brow of the hill past the mini roundabout.

Thanks

    • Caught him a few years ago at a bizarre gig in Canterbury and know his London agent.  Sad but he wants a well man.  It was a pleasure to have seen him a few times, always different!  Hadn't realised he had been a local.
    • Stewart Lee, who I have seen numerous times, played a gig 18 months ago in Peckham, turning up late and doing around 12 mins of an expected headliner slot.  He has no social media presence and is uncontactable.  I complained to the ticket agents and promoters to no avail.  Obviously I wouldn't boycott a paper due to this incident. With hard copy print declining more liberal media need support irrespective of how easy it is to pick holes.  The decline of regional and local papers has compounded the issue of so many drawing their information from the right wing/populist press, and unverified reports on social media.
    • Avoid companies that are run by non trades people Seems to be the trend lately. Check them on Companies house first. There are some great family companies or sole traders. Great work. Also though we did not use them in the end ANR Roofing based in Wimbledon offered some sound advice and quote.  Also very lovely family run firm. And Crest Roofing based in EC1V 2NX came and gave a quote and seemed very lovely with some advice also. 07934 975769
