Alex K
Apologies in advance if a duplication: Have searched "garden centre" and not seen this addressed -- the once-upon-a-time garden centre at East Dulwich station is now a property "to let" rather than a property "to knock down and re-develop". If this has been mentioned before, please point me to the thread; if it hasn't, well? what's going on? Alex K
SJ, thank you! I'm still puzzled by the TO LET sign -- have Morrisons withdrawn? nxjen
I was puzzled too but looking at Taylor Wilcox website it appears the current building is to let only as a Christmas pop up. http://www.taylorwilcox.co.uk/current-instructions-1/ Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/39233-once-the-ed-garden-centre-now-what/#findComment-702460 Share on other sites

James Barber
I understand that the temporary pop -up shop is to cover the business rates until construction works start. The new Grove Vale library will open Spring 2015. monica
Happy to hear the garden centre site will be used for the community. What is happening to the current library site? James Barber
Hi monica,My understanding is that circa summer 2015 the current Grove Vale library shop units will revert to their freeholder. They are rented by Southwark Council.I'm hopeful the reduction in rent will enable the new grove vale library to be open more often.
