When you next get some decent cash burn it and free your soul.Soweto has hundreds dancing in the street. New Orleans has the Second Line tradition. East Dulwich has....the Shoulder Shuffle.... Mostly far from the affluent middle classes, white or otherwise .... But hey, the term "folk" music means very very different things to different people ....You should have come to see Thomas McCarthy at The Ivy House last week. Irish traveller currently living in London. Fantastic singer. Place was rammed. Proper folk - none of your mimsy Mumford and Sons b******s :))But hey, maybe all the people who came to see him were "white affluent middle class". We don't vet them before we let them buy a ticket :)) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/39198-wasnt-north-cross-road-lovely-today/page/2/#findComment-702809 Share on other sites

El Pibe
To be fair been quite a while since I was there.Aaaanyway, christmas crakcer was fun wasn't it. Kids loved the drummers, they were alot of fun and had tons of infectious energy, even if they weren't terribly good. Bluerevolution
Comments were passed on to Southwark Council Events team at the meeting last night, they are really grateful and appreciative of the feedback. They know not everything goes right on the day-we can't exactly have a dress rehearsal, mostly all played by ear on the day-but anything that can easily be tweaked will be.
