Conclusive proof that Ants - regardless of funerary arrangements such as intermant in cemanteries or cremantoria - do not STAY DEAD!

And I am covered for thread-topic-relevance-deviancy Foxy - as the above clearly states.

That's strange LadyD because I found the post quite infantile & crass.

Well said. You never know it might even extend to learning to live with humans eh?

Who has defined the "rights" of foxes and humans? I wouldn't have the right to shit in your garden at night, in fact you'd have the right to call the police and have me arrested.

You can't talk about animals and humans having the same "rights" it just doesn't make any sense.

And for the record, I've got no beef with the foxes, except the one that nicked my childhood toy which had been passed down to my daughter who left it in the garden (bitch!).

On foxes..

Well I expect someone expects me to say that I think they should all be lined-up, have their faces sandpapered off one by one - and then skewered to death up their bums with a barbed pole.

But I won't say that. Because I like the little critters. YES, I LIKE FOXES.

So humans have more of a "right" to life on Earth than any other creature? As for shitting in gardens, humans just get pissed up and urinate in doorways, puke in public, and try to kill one another after "a good night out" wonderful habits no?

Erm, no. That's not what i said at all. my point was that you can't compare the rights of a human that lives within a society with a framework of rules, to a wild animal that doesn't.

Explain why humans are more entitled to occupy the face of the Earth than other creatures. Humour me.

"Explain why humans are more entitled to occupy the face of the Earth than other creatures. Humour me."

well none obviously, but given that the rest of the animal kingdom doesn't function on any moral compass, then we can do what the fuck we like to them.

Same goes for trees, cunts!!!!

If God meant us to live in peace and harmony with foxes, why did He give us guns and dogs?

Tally ho.

foxes have a natural lifespan of around 14 years, just like dogs. in the wild they possibly manage to live this out, but urban foxes' life expectancy is only a couple of years because of urban hazards such as traffic

see http://foxes.channel4.com/features/fox-file (and any number of other references.) It has this on pets and foxes:

Q: I'm scared that a fox will eat my pet?

A. You shouldn't be. It is actually very rare for a fox to kill a pet. A study in Bristol showed that the maximum annual loss was 0.2 pets per fox (a fox ate a pet once every five years), so putting your pet in secure housing should avoid this.

As a pedant, I should point out that the helpful clarification for Mail-readers should actually say "EACH fox ate pets at the rate of one every five years" (but then if a given fox only survives for two years, the likelihood that it ever ate a pet decreases...)

    • A detailed account of Nigel Farage's alleged racist and neofascist behaviour while he attended Dulwich College appears in the Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/ng-interactive/2025/nov/18/deeply-shocking-nigel-farage-faces-fresh-claims-of-racism-and-antisemitism-at-school Obviously for most the relevant question is if these allegations are true, then is Farage a suitable person for public office? But for Dulwich local yokels (and tbh anyone that's already formed a firm opinion about Farage), the more interesting question might be whether Dulwich College incubated and tolerated pupils' racist and bigoted behaviour at the time? After all, the allegations include that NF and a number of other boys sang songs about gassing Jews and engaged in other bigoted behaviour, that teachers were either present or aware of that behaviour, and that nothing was done. It's remarkable that pieces of the reporting abour 40 years ago mirror some of the allegations about Dulwich College's reaction to some pupils' alleged sexist and predatory behaviour 4 years ago. Minimisation, dismissal, wilful blindness... https://www.thetimes.com/uk/crime/article/i-warned-head-of-dulwich-college-about-abusive-boys-five-years-ago-xkxgjftk8 https://www.theguardian.com/education/2021/mar/26/dulwich-college-head-warns-pupils-over-culture-protest

    • Saied (Dulwich Eco Gardening) said he’d give us our garden back and he did. He cleared the overgrown front and back. It was bigger than we remember.    He doesn’t do hard landscaping on the scale we needed but recommended someone (Kris 07938 204480). He flagged and fenced it.    Once we decide what plants/pots we want we’ll have Saied back to do that. Can’t wait for next spring to use the garden.
