Another beautiful cut by Bradley at Blue Tit on Peckham Rye. I'm really pleased to have found this place, lovely service, good advice, everyone knows their stuff, you feel very safe in their hands. The interior is beautiful too. A glass of wine, and a nice chat with Bradley, all very relaxing. Everyone who leaves looks amazing. The products they use, and sell, are great too.

Thank you Eleanor Jane and Alice for your kind words. We hold charity days every year in each of our Salons and this year all profits made at our Peckham salon will be donated to a local South London charity called Down's South which is a parent run charity supporting children with Down's Syndrome and their families. We are so pleased to hear you booked in today and part of the fundraising. Over the Christmas period we are also collecting any old toys that you no longer use that we will wrap up in the salon put under our Christmas Tree and give out to children in care at Christmas. Thank you again for all your support and Merry Christmas xx

Sorry but I have to say I find it quite normal to have different pricing for mens and womens cuts-I always expect to pay more as a woman.

I think its the norm and not sexist at all...I've been to local salons and West end famous name ones and I really don't have a problem with this.

Hi Callie, we appreciate your message as we strive to be as fairness is our highest priority. There are a few reasons for the price difference; a lot more work goes into cutting girls hair such as more sectioning which require more trained skills. Girls also get a blow dry to finish which in itself is hard work and gents usually don't get. There are more products used on female hair, more shampoo and conditioner and more styling products used when drying and styling the hair. It generally takes longer for a girls cut and finish. I hope this helps. Thanks for your message.

Not everyone 'girl' wants a blow dry, so do you have a price that reflects that? Most salons do.

I recently went to Bluetit for the first time and I loved it. I usually get my hair cut in town but will be returning. There are plenty of hairdressers around and if you have objections to paying the prices in one there are lots of others that will happily take your cash .

We are lucky enough to live in an area with lots of choice - if you don't like whats on offer somewhere rather than expect them to change for your (single) view you ae bound to find somewhere that meets your needs. Then everyone is happy.

Lots of hairdressers offer cuts without blow drys, inc Headnizm, or only a rough dry, which they don't charge for, so my view is not a single one, despite your statement. Blow drys on their own often cost ?25-?30 pounds so they would seem to make up the majority of the time needed for a hair appt. And, if you have short hair, it's very unlikely you would need a blow dry.

    • No, you won’t get your rent back for not having an EPC. I presume you’re thinking of  rent repayment order… you’d have to have evidence of an offence such as illegal eviction, harassment, threat, unlicensed property. None of which you’ve indicated.  I don’t see what the problem is with your situation, certainly nothing substantial. If you have evidence of disrepair (including professional report) and you have to have evidence of informing the landlord as well; you’ve mentioned damp but said it’s not there any more?
    • Thanks…..still convinced I can get my rent back - not vindictive person but no one treats me this way & gets away with it. Will teach them a good lesson if they get a fine - well two really - much rater have rent back. Yes, will be taking pix - already have one for mould in bedroom - now removed.
    • Take your own meter readings and properly document the condition of the property when you leave. The LL won’t have a case to claim against your deposit without a sign in inventory. Not having an EPC is largely irrelevant- if you report him he might get a fine but you are unlikely to get compensation.
    • Thank you both. Inexperience Landlord trying to save  a few pennies - hence no agent involved. The issue is the fact that it is my understanding that without an EPC that is current then they should not have rented the property - far  more to the point and taken rent from me. They commissioned an EPC 4 weeks & I am still waiting for or a copy!!! No gas in property. Well I guess it will be a case of instructing solicitors which I have tried to avoid doing but as they are not responding at all, I have no choice. If I am correct about EPC then it will cost them alot more than refunding me my rent.
