We went to the Catford one last year and it was great for kids! Traditional, cheesy but with a few laughs aimed at the adults. Good old-fashioned panto as I remember it.

And a relaxed approach that means you don't feel bad if the kids have to come and go during the performance.

Just watch out for all the flashing toys on the way in!!

That's brilliant. I didn't look into it at all before booking, on the basis that the experience will be fun for the kids no matter what. I just booked last week and there were lots of tickets available. I paid ?60ish for 5 of us (youngest on my lap) for seats right at the front of the dress circle so the kids should have a fab view. Not too bad really, given we can catch a bus down there. Lunch at McDonalds beforehand will make their year :)

    • So the contractors have cut some branches off already (see pics) and there is no notice on the tree or area. Someone up thread mentioned the contractors said they would put one up.   I am no expert but noticed that the tree seems to be covered in new buds - not really a sign of a tree with deceased roots? I picked up a twig from the ground and saw the buds are green inside as is underneath the twig bark - more likely to be signs of live? Again, I'm no expert but some of the comments above indicate this has been a longstanding wrong diagnosis?
    • also good to keep a journal of times, length of noise.  Encourage neighbours to do the same, as that's usually what noise control need to act on things.
    • That's brutal, so happy to hear you had a good grip! It's such a shame that we need to two hand grip our phones these days all across London. Doesn't make you want to live in such a place where you don't feel safe. The people nicking phones are pathetic scum. I would welcome the opportunity to knock one of those dickheads off their bike until the police arrive.
    • This trend really is quite something by now   Watching Starmer, Reeves and go do the same fingers-in-ear "la la la" will be their downfall   https://yougov.co.uk/politics/articles/51484-how-do-britons-feel-about-brexit-five-years-on
