a_m
Due to an "electricity supply problem", London Bridge station is currently closed and all Southern services are affected.
Jessie
Much the same service from Southern then. Thanks for the heads-up.

jimmyraj
Victoria was shut down too. No trains via Peckham and Denmark Hill, and roads jammed because of an accident at Oval.
Readey
I managed to get from Victoria to Clapham junction, then overground running to Denmark Hill. What a nightmare though.
NewWave
It took me two hours from leaving work at Bond Street to get home to Forest Hill, I was completely stranded.Nightmare and not what I needed after a day of work.
????
The buses were certainly busier but they didn,t take much longer....are some people unaware they exist? Tube to elephant and from central London and a bus took about 50 mins to SE22
lozc
Buses better south of Elephant, but had to walk there from London bridge, impossible to get on anything around London Bridge earlier. One friend further south-east has just taken 4 hours to get home - I suspect highly unlikely things will be back to normal tomorrow at this rate ... The problem was a small fire which was under control quite quickly. The issues was it happened at peak and created a massive backlog.Unsure why this would create issues in the morning. Still waiting for the snow chaos ...

PeckhamRose
Yawn. the smug fit and healthy attitude of the average Cyclist. "We ALL should and could be cyclists."NO, we COULDN'T!
Loz
LadyDeliah Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> Could commute by bike and avoid all these irritating delays :-)... given the recent incidents, that doesn't seem an attractive proposition. BrandNewGuy
Tens of thousands of people using the existing straightforward urban rail infrastructure could well be the greenest commuting option, so it's unwise to employ 'greener than thou' arguments for cycling to work.
