Buses better south of Elephant, but had to walk there from London bridge, impossible to get on anything around London Bridge earlier. One friend further south-east has just taken 4 hours to get home - I suspect highly unlikely things will be back to normal tomorrow at this rate ...

Um, why? The problem was a small fire which was under control quite quickly. The issues was it happened at peak and created a massive backlog.

Unsure why this would create issues in the morning. Still waiting for the snow chaos ...

... given the recent incidents, that doesn't seem an attractive proposition. As they say, better late than never.

Tempted to go back to what I did in the 1980s write  "FIRST CLASS URGENT" on the front underlined and a return address on the back but it'll probably wind them up.

    • The EDF is social media, and it seems to have met its goals of connecting and engaging the local community. The 'media' part isn't a reference to the BBC, it refers to 'a substance that something grows in, lives in or moves through' as a plural of 'medium'. In the sense that the 'something' is people, then it does the job. Whe it comes to the BBC, the 'something' is information. For the most part the contribution has been positive. However, the downsides are driven by anonymity, and have allowed the worst of human nature to surface.
