A comedy sketch can hang around too long like a bad smell when you know what's coming. The sort of bores who will go to these shows will know every sketch and word verbatim and probably still repeat them at any given opportunity in a futile effort to amuse the company they are in.

I was a fan though and enjoyed their work first time round. I won't be going.
