sunbob
Does such a thing exist? My 4 yr old's Tesco ones are dreadful. I'm researching m and s ones but the reviews are totally mixed. gwod
Marks and Spencer's....Its the only way. I forgot briefly so just had to throw a load of H and M ones away! lightweight
i have given up on tight and just do knee high socks now. my daughter won't pull up anything properly around her waist so she ends up with tights around her knees by the end of the day. snowboarder
Use leggings instead? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/38679-school-tights-that-dont-fall-down/#findComment-698000 Share on other sites
nunheadmum
Might need to go down a size? My 5 year old is so skinny, everything falls down. Usually have to go with age 3 - thankfully she's small all over!We usually find Next ones are okay or M&S. M&S I find keep their shape better and have the size printed on the waistband - a real help when you have more than one kid wearing tights! crystal7
School tights are a pain! Sainsbury's fell down and went bobbly, m&s are better quality but baggy around the ankles, daughter is skinny though so might work better on others. Now researching leggings, you need matching socks though... melbourne groover
I like Gap tights currently, nice thickness and long enough in the leg for my tall daughter (harder than you might think to achieve...) I have tried:H&M - I like these but some have seams across the top of the toes which has been deemed unacceptable.M&s - too short in the leg now but otherwise fineSainsburys - shrink but ok if you buy an enormous size to allow for thisGap - latest try, ok so far...Good luck! Mrs TP
Get some cycle shorts to put over them, Superman Style - Next do PE navy cycle shorts or again a vote for M&S tights. Sol
I buy them in next and the shop in Dulwich Village and my daughter have not had any problem with them Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/38679-school-tights-that-dont-fall-down/#findComment-698188 Share on other sites
JS33
I also have a skinny daughter and so far the best for us have been from John Lewis (M&S fit possibly better, but she claimed they were itchy and would only wear them inside out). sanity girl
The best ones I've got for my daughter are from Biff in Dulwich village - have also tried H&M, sainsburys and M&S but not as good. I like them because they have shaped heels. VeronicaSawyer
I second John Lewis. They're the only ones that have ever stayed up on my extremely skinny 7 year old. Peachpie
At school we used to wear pants on top (as well as underneath) to keep our tights from falling down but maybe that is just weird! sunbob
Great, thanks for all the ideas folks. Last year she went to a school nursery where leggings were allowed (much more sensible!) I think I'll try m and s plus something to hold them up.
