Incident in Cox's Walk

Balders

Recommended Posts

We get loads of comments on here about lack of police presence so I thought I might balance it a little.

I have just walked my dog in Cox's Walk where two men in their late teens or early twenties came past me checking for a way out over the fence by the allotments. They then - not 20 yards in front of me - stripped off their top layer of clothes and had different colours on underneath.

I called 101 and within 3 or 4 minutes there were two police cars and a bike by the Grove Tavern.

Very impressive - though God knows what they had done!!

    • As we stop using royal mail we forget - not used it for 5 years then had a letter needed to go to a solicitor I used old stamps I've had for years - no they're not allowed you need posh bar coded ones now- that letters gone into the Ether -I'll try another. Tempted to go back to what I did in the 1980s write  "FIRST CLASS URGENT" on the front underlined and a return address on the back but it'll probably wind them up.

    • The EDF is social media, and it seems to have met its goals of connecting and engaging the local community. The 'media' part isn't a reference to the BBC, it refers to 'a substance that something grows in, lives in or moves through' as a plural of 'medium'. In the sense that the 'something' is people, then it does the job. Whe it comes to the BBC, the 'something' is information. For the most part the contribution has been positive. However, the downsides are driven by anonymity, and have allowed the worst of human nature to surface.
