Heart108
An actual pheasant actually photographed a day ago in a garden near Piermont Green! Is this as extraordinary and exciting as I feel? Or could it be a normal visit from a bird stationed near the lake sanctuary in Peckham Rye Park?H Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/38000-pheasant-in-east-dulwich/ Share on other sites

Heart108
Bit late now for the 'Glorious 12th' of August but it's good to know that' The open season in the UK is 1 October ? 1 February, under the Game Act 1831. Generally [pheasants] are shot by hunters employing gun dog to help find, flush, and retrieve shot birds. Retrievers, spaniels, and pointing breeds are used to hunt pheasants'.Please PM me if you are local with suitable dog.H Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/38000-pheasant-in-east-dulwich/#findComment-692014 Share on other sites
