Noggin the Nog, Pogles Wood from when I was very young.

Chorlton and the Wheelies - loved the fact that Chorlton was from...... well Chorlton really

Mr Ben was an absolute fave as was Mary, Mungo and Midge, a cartoon about a girl who lived in a high rise with her dog mungo and mouse midge (prompted me to name my first gerbil midge it did!)

Fingerbobs - Yoffi lifts a finger, and a mouse is there, yoffie lifts another and a seagull takes the air. Yoffie lifts a finer and a scampi darts about. Yoffie bends another, and a tortoise head peeps out!

...think I can fill in the gaps -

... happy to have the remaining 4 points!!

use to love Blue Peter (remember wanting to dress just like Sarah Greene!!), and also loved Rentaghost, Crackerjack with Stu Francis and The Great Soprendo.

As I got older Byker Grove was a must see, as was Press Gang - was broken hearted when I discovered Dexter Fletcher wasn't really american.... even more so when I saw him over 10 years ago and found he wasn't much taller than me (I'm only 5ft 2").

Still have a bit of a guilty pleasure crush on Pip Schofield!!

What was the TV Program that had this as a theme tune.....

Everywhere ya go everything ya see,

Someone saying NO it's a tragedy,

Find another place cos you can't stay here,

I don't want any lip so there,

You know it's gonna be alright if we stick together,

We're gonna have a fine fine time if we stick together,

No more mindless empty days.

It was set around Derby Football Club if memory serves correctly and once had Alan Biley in it.

For the full 10 points you would have to start from the begining, which used to go a little something like this:

Dashing and daring

Courageous and caring

Faithful and friendly

With stories to share

All through the forest

They sing out in chorus

Shagging your women

And drinking your beeerrrrrrr.

There's a place that keeps on calling me,

Down the road that's where I'll always be.

Every stop I make, I make a new friend,

Can't stay for long, just turn around and I'm gone again!

So if you wanna join me for a while,

just grab your hat, come travel light that's hobo style!

Lordship_bod - think The Krankies did pop up on Crackerjack but can't remember if they were on every week - remember the Chuckle Dogs (who took off their dog outfits and became the Chuckle Brothers).

Brendan - blimey - you must have really liked the Gummie Bears - I curtsey to your superior knowledge

    • I would also highly recommend Matt and Harri. They are hardworking, knowledgeable, friendly and clear about costs and timings. They came last October to cut back overgrown hedges, took out some sickly bamboo (including digging out a tangle of roots), jet washed paving and installed fencing for me. They have advised me which plants would work and sent me detailed listings of those plants including costings. Matt is a great communicator and replied very quickly to my initial query, visiting promptly to view the job as well as emailing a detailed quote and maintaining communication by text and phone. They did the job that I wanted, in the time frame that I wanted and at the price they had quoted. I was so pleased with their work and feel comfortable having them around (genuinely nice guys as the previous review mentioned) that I am now having them back to do the next job of sourcing suitable plants and planting them into the spaces that were cleared last autumn.
    • Hi Sue you can try to restore your Laptop to a previous restore point prior to last Monday if you have recovery switched on  To restore Windows to a previous date, you can use the System Restore feature. This feature returns your computer's system files to an earlier point in time. It can help fix recent software issues without affecting your personal files.  Steps to restore Windows to a previous date  Click System Restore Click Next Select a restore point (date just prior to last Monday 3pm )  Click Next again Confirm the restore point and system restoration Click Finish Click Restart Open the System Protection tab
    • The person who started the previous thread I linked to said they were Greek, so I presume would be well aware of cultural nuances. The absolute kindest thing I can think of is that whoever started the shop (and I believe there are several shops) was not aware of the meaning of the name. But surely you would not just pluck a name for a new business out of the air? Surely you would make sure it did not have any possible negative connotations, in any language? Has anybody actually asked the shop about this?  As regards this "vegan hot chocolate", I'm bemused. The chocolate powder itself was surely just cocoa and sugar? It doesn't normally have any animal related products in it, does it? So it must have been the milk which made it "vegan", so probably either oat milk or soya milk? I regularly make hot chocolate with oat milk, and occasionally have it when  out. It has never occurred to me to call it "vegan" (I'm not a vegan), and I've never seen it described as "vegan". When I'm out I just ask for hot chocolate with oat milk. It obviously doesn't taste the same as when made with cow's milk, but I prefer the taste. I don't particularly like drinks made with soya milk, which in any case curdles in certain hot drinks, but  most places give you a choice of milk?
    • Good news! A friend with techie knowledge was able to get into the laptop (not physically) and I've now saved the recent unbacked up data onto an external hard drive (and I won't be making that mistake again). Remarkably, whatever he did caused the  screen to spring back to life, and I can actually now  do things on the laptop. However it is in safe mode, and my  friend said not to take it out of safe mode or turn it off, in case I can't get back into it again. Because I don't know what the problem was in the first place which caused the sudden  total and persistent screen blackout, I am worried that  the same thing may happen again. I phoned Which Tech,  as they will now be able to connect to it remotely as they will be able to see the screen, but they don't have an appointment for a week. I also phoned John Lewis again, but they still rabbited on about a factory reset always being "highly recommended" 🙄 presumably because that's what wherever they send laptops to be repaired always does first. Is there any easy way (without potentially making things worse again) to look  into the laptop  history to identify what happened last Monday around 3pm?!
