Chips56
It says on your website that you use butter and milk for your bread so how can it all be vegan ?
bobbly
Think he said vegan free... Gutted.... Good bread doesn't have to include dairy....

BrandNewGuy
That's probably not an ordinary loaf but croissants, for instance. Try making croissants without butter and you'll be very disappointed...

Is that really necessary? Is it not possible to source such ingredients in this country? Surely butter at the very least? Seems an unnecessary cost to be passing onto customers - though do correct me if I am wrong.
BrandNewGuy
I genuinely think French flour and butter are better for making French bread and patisseries. Don't know why - the French would talk about 'terroir' and they're probably onto something.

Ladygooner
Just been in this morning - very impressive! The best pain au chocolate I have tasted in a while and a portuguese custard tart to rival Madeira Cafe at Vauxhall. Yet to sample baguette and pain de compagne which they sliced for me. Will be back to order one of their delicious big cakes for my next lunch party.

HelenG
Well, honestly? I am from Wigan - yes, we do bread, white bread. Today, we had proper posh bread from this lovely new shop at the end of our road, We had a pain au chocolate and a star shaped loaf thingie with poppy seeds in't middle. Absolutely wonderful- I don't think I can ever go home again now that I have said that out loud! They had better start making pies really quick ;-)
hooksan
Just bought the wholemeal sough dough bread and it is truly delicious. Sometimes I find sourdough a little dry but this is soft and with a crust both chewy and crunchy - how is that possible? Thanks B-Jade.
