Cost of fitted wardrobes

Dear all,

I know this is a "how long is a piece of string" question - but I'm trying to figure out how much fitted wardrobes will cost us. The space is in the front room of the loft so partly under a sloping ceiling and is about 3m x 1m (height varying). Again, I know requirements differ widely, but I just want to know averages. PM me if you prefer of course. We have had a circa ?2k quote from the builders, which I think includes painting and shelving etc.

Also, is getting fitting wardrobes put in very disruptive? Do they tend to be made elsewhere or onsite (I know small adjustment have to be made onsite)? Just trying to decide if we should get builders to make them or seek a specific carpenter who is recommended on the forum.

Thank you very much - I really appreciate it!
