SteveT
Making kids is the best thing ever, having them is okay too. I would never turn the clock back to being childless, but I think my mother would. MelbourneGr
I've learnt loads from my parents. I pretty much know what not to do with my kids. Religion, alcohol and discipline made a very confusing childhood. PeckhamRose
SteveT relax. It's just that the word "less" always sounds like we're minus something because we have no kids. But the suffix "Free" makes like we actively made a decision not to.Not prickly, just makin' a point. You?re playing with the very existence of existence there, stop it. It frightens me. SeanMacGabhann
There is a difference between saying "wait a minute, why don't we ease of on the accelerator even if we are in the speed limit - there seems to be a lot of oil on the ground" and "Stop the car! Stop the car!"I think there is merit in people not having children - probably a small percentage will opt for that route but clearly at current rate of population growth, the globe will give up the ghost eventually?I wouldn't rule out an eventual cap on family size either - I see nothing intrinsically unfair about it - for the same reason. Oh, I see! :DHad a half hour of play with my one year old before work this morning. He is learning to walk and pelted across the front room, gaining speed before nearly falling splat on his face (his elbows just saved him).Yes - having children, for me, is the BEST THING EVER! TillieTrotter
I have one flying the nest tomorrow. Off to uni she goes. neecheecat
I find children, babies and pregnant women utterly repulsive - it's almost verging on phobic. I'm staring to think it's an evolutionary thing... like the world is so over populated that now some people are born to inherently not want children.People always think I'm exaggerating or that I will "grow out of it" (I'm close to 30 now), but really, I can't stand children. It's like a parasite that feeds off of you for 9 months, then it comes out of your vagina (the average baby weighs 7.5lbs!) and you're expected to look after it and buy it stuff for 18+ years. NO THANKS!I'm going to stick to cats. All babies look like Winston Churchill... but you's be hard pressed to find an un-cute kitten!
