Recommendation for the london door company

We had a door and frame fitted the week before last and are really pleased with the result. From beginning to end the service was great, with appointments arranged at our convenience and full communication on what would be happening when. Being heavily pregnant I was a bit apprehensive about the guys coming to do the work but my fears vanished when I met them-absolutely lovely guys-a pleasure to have in the house and very unobtrusive. The door and frame look great, the house is noticeably warmer and much quieter (the door is solid and thick, and fits the frame perfectly which has draught excluders incorporated). Even my toddler loves the door (she stops and says 'I love our front door' on the way in, but then again it is red (her favourite colour) so that might be the reason. The door and frame were not cheap, but you get what you pay for. We feel it is now very secure (our ADT man agreed), and a top quality product and service from beginning to end. You also pay in three instalments so the cost can be split over a few months which helps.

Can I ask what you paid for the door? I had London Door Co round today and the chap was lovely and helpful and the doors looked great, but it came to ?3700! It's so expensive. Not sure I can cope spending this much on a door. It seems that there is no in between. It's either this much or ?600 which i don't trust. I can't find anything in between! Did you shop around at all?

    • That’s another big hike on the Sainsbury’s mini rolls! I spoke to one of the managers on the day of the anchovies price rise but all he could say was that his store doesn’t set the prices. Very vague and not helpful. i started this thread about price rises in  Sainsbury’s and it’s somehow being blamed on Brexit etc!
    • And the Sainsbury’s own brand chocolate mini rolls have gone from £1.15 to £1.40 overnight, so 22%-ish. I prefer them them to the Cadbury original because they have a lot more chocolate on them, presumably because they’re made in a less advanced factory. I would think that getting the Rizla thin coating of chocolate that Cadbury’s accountants demand onto a piece of sponge is quite a sophisticated operation. Discuss.
    • Another recommendation for Leon. He was able to come out to our electrical elergency within 24 hours of me contacting him. His communication was great and whilst he could not solve our problem, he was able to perform tests to identify this and did so quickly and efficiently. He charging  is very fair and his manner very pleasant. Both of these in contrast to some experiences I have had elsewhere.    happy to put my name to recommending Leon. His number is  07707 925039.
