damzel
Does anyone have any experience of http://readingeggs.co.uk? I'm looking for something fun to motivate my 5yo with her reading/writing Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/36788-reading-eggs/ Share on other sites
edd
Yes. My daughter did it for a year. It starts off fun, but because of the limited range of games and the uber-repetitive nature of the tasks, quickly palls. I haven't renewed my subscription. There is no way to skip bits, either - one has to work doggedly through the whole programme, which didn't really suit my daughter. Curmudgeon
Can recommend Red Nose Readers. http://www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/qs_product_tbp?storeId=10001&catalogId=10051&langId=100&productId=218624Not a reading scheme, but a great series of books to read together Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/36788-reading-eggs/#findComment-682240 Share on other sites
Norfolkvillas
My nanny was sent a link for a free trial which she forwarded to me. We haven't done enough of it for me to have an opinion of how good it is, but I thought you might like the link to the free trial:http://readingeggs.co.uk/ichild?utm_medium=email&utm_source=Family+%26+Education+Marketing+Limited&utm_campaign=2939587_Reading+Eggs+Solus+Email+2%2f9%2f13&utm_content=ReadingEggs&dm_i=1DJR,1R077,77Z96T,68HL3,1Hope the link works - if not I could try PMing it to you? damzel
Thanks for the replies. Norfolkvillas - I already have the free trial details, thanks. I just don't like signing up for "free for a month" stuff without researching first. Teach your Monster looks good - I'll give that a go - thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/36788-reading-eggs/#findComment-682382 Share on other sites
