Voluntary work

I'm looking for voluntary work in East Dulwich or surrounding areas on my days off when I can, Any pointers in the right direction would be great.

I know the hostel at the top of Barry Road are always looking for volunteers to help with donations etc. phone Nancy on 07931 769173. She runs a nurse led clinic there and deals with all the donations. She would be hugely grateful for someone offering some time and help.

One local charity you might consider is Dulwich Helpline & Southwark Churches Care. Based at Dulwich Hospital, it supports isolated older people in Southwark. I do some volunteering for them and find it both rewarding and fun.

The Girl Guides unit in Kennington would love to have more volunteers (male or female) to help us run our weekly (term-time) Rainbows (age 5-7), Brownies (7-10) and Girl Guides (10-14). You do not have to commit to every week as we run a rota for those who could help occasionally.

We meet on Tuesdays at St Paul?s Church Hall, Lorrimore Square Kennington

Rainbows ? 5:00 to 6:00 pm

Brownies and Guides 6:00 to 7:30 pm.

Although we meet at the church, we are not a religious organisation and have no affiliation with any religion.
