Vik
Looks like the little shop on Grove Vale, on the same parade as Wolfe & Scott.https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Wolfe+%26+Scott&ll=51.461481,-0.078557&spn=0.009345,0.022724&fb=1&gl=uk&hq=wolfe+and+scott&cid=0,0,16409557194116610744&t=m&z=16&layer=c&cbll=51.461448,-0.078729&panoid=CRocHZ4lSyMkzTr_ks2cFA&cbp=12,25.8,,1,-0.61 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/36714-east-dulwich-shop-closing/#findComment-681633 Share on other sites
speedbird
Is it the grocery shop that's never open opposite Blackbird bakery? Not sure, just those strange gates at right angles ring a bell? burty
The colour shop is fab, it sells wonderful paint, there's often interesting art to look at and there is a spinning wheel of wonder onto which you can drip paint and create your own psychedelic masterpiece. I think the right shop could do well along there. Something a bit specialized that people will walk up from the lane to. Serena2012
On the subject of East Dulwich shops closing down, I was in Old Villa earlier today and they had their closing down sale on. Sad times. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/36714-east-dulwich-shop-closing/#findComment-683044 Share on other sites

Sad times.xxxxxxCrikey, it seems like they've only just opened! If you're going to sell extremely expensive stuff in a tough economic climate, you've got to be pretty sure there's a market for what you're selling. And their expenses must have been hugely higher than they were in Bellenden Road. Jeremy
Maybe they should have set up on Abbeville Rd instead? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/36714-east-dulwich-shop-closing/#findComment-683396 Share on other sites
Zak
Ed Nagaiutb writes .........."Their neighbouring unit, Rabbit On, has been empty for years. I've watched people go in and out of the premises over the years and it seems fairly clear that it's simply a front for a building providing residential accommodation - a planning scam. Strange that Southwark haven't been able to work that one out!
