Good & cheap gym? help

I want to start going to the gym

Does anyone know which one is good and cheap?

My son has been investigating and concluded that locally it's either too expensive (Leisure Centre) or dosn't have the equipment he wants to use (Dulwich Hamlet). He was told of one in Stockwell which is ?19.99 per month and open 24/07. He went to check it out last night so I don't know the outcome yet.

Flaxmans gym in Camberwell is on ?20pcm.

Not sure what equipment you want though....it's mainly free weights and resistance machines rather than cardio stuff.
