Europe
Hi everyone, We are about to start a loft extension and we struggle to make a decision about the bathroom. Does anyone have any bad or good feedback about saniflo please? So far we have received only negative or 'concerning' comments about saniflo. We were wondering how people made the decision between having a 'weird' shaped bedroom but with 'normal' toilets or having a nice bedroom shape but taking the risk to have problems with saniflo and what is their current experience as a result? We are aware that the decision is in our hands but any further feedback/info from anyone who have loft extension with or without saniflo would be more than welcome please. Thank you ver much. red devil
Can be noisy, avoid locating near bedrooms... Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/36582-saniflo-and-loft-extension/#findComment-680528 Share on other sites
Salsaboy
Don't do it. Unless you do nothing but wee into a Saniflo, it will struggle to cope. I have seen several that have quite literaly exploded, leaving 'stuff' dripping from the ceiling of the room they were situated in. If at all possible, install a proper flushing toilet. Jeremy
The problem is that the loft companies like to put the shower room at the front of the loft, so they can use the full-height area for the bedroom. So it's a choice between a larger bedroom and a macerator toilet, or an awkward shaped bedroom but conventional toilet waste.
