Recent press coverage of the UFO phonemena and reports of many sightings across the UK of recent has re-kindled a UFO sighting that I had in Forest Hill road last December.

I recorded a UFO being chased by what I believe to be an Apache helicopter over Camberwell New Cemetary just off Forest Hill Road. I was lucky enough to have captured this incident on a Samsung mobile phone. I posted this on You Tube. Consequently, I have been contacted by several South London residents about strange sights of Orbs in the sky.

I now have several videos of UFO's filmed over South London from replies that I have received- some of them quite shocking.

HERE IS WHAT I SAW ON DECEMBER 15TH 2007

I would like you to note that there IS something going on at the moment not just in the skies of London, but the whole UK.

Here is a description of exactly what happened, in my own words,(description from you tube video)

"This UFO incident happened on Saturday 15th December, 2007 at 7.10pm. The sky was clear. I was at work and my colleague alerted me to a military helicopter outside. It appeared to be chasing several UFO's. The helicopter was a black military helicopter- After some research, it looks like it was an Apache. The helicopter displayed no tail or any other lights were visible apart from inside the cock pit. We watched for 5-10 minutes as the helicopter investigated- It had obviously been scrambled to investigate the UFO. There was a "static" ufo that was there for about 5 minutes (this later just vanished. There were also several other smaller lights darting around it. One was flashing at orange and bright blue colour in 3 second intervals. This video was taken using a Samsung mobile phone- I am kicking myself for not having my camera with me that day as I would have caught a much better video. This video does not do justice to what we saw. The bright light in the middle is obviously a street light. The interesting thing is - Notice how the street light is "splayed" out, and how the UFO/orb is a "self-contained" ball of light or energy; possibly a craft with a self-contained enery field?? You can't see the helicopter on here because it had no lights on at all! But you can clearly hear it. The one to the right is the stationary white orb. Also notice on the video, other smaller objects docking with the UFO/Orb. After 5 minutes, the orb de-materialised or sped off at a speed so fast that it was not visible to the naked eye."

What I saw that night was unexplainable. I am not assuming necessarily that we are being visited by aliens, but they may be secret military advanced aircraft. What I saw was an intelligently controlled vehicle, not the moon, stars, a weather balloon or civilian aircraft- The military helicopter was obviously scrambled to investigate.

I have been contacted by many people in the area who have seen UFO's recently...I would love to hear from more people as I would like to know what the hell is going on.

I would love to hear from anybody that has had similar experiences.

THIS IS A SERIOUS POST FOR (HOPEFULLY) SERIOUS REPLIES. PLEASE READ THE COMMENTS NEXT TO THE VIDEO AND FEEDBACK ON YOU TUBE.PLEASE RESPECT THIS POST AND DON'T LEAVE ANY SMART- ALEC REMARKS. CHEERS

Christian, I didn't see the original post but it seems pretty clear to me, from what you have described, that it was intended to be humorous and friendly. Most good forums have that kind of banter. Sorry for you if it didn't come across you that way.

Is the earlier thread on here you mention the one about the chinese lanterns by the way?

if you ask me this thread is barely reality-related, much less East Dulwich-related

You don't need to be able to explain it to claim it as a UFO. I could explain it as "treated video" - but that would no doubt infuriate the OP. It wouldn't make it any less true

For. The. Record:

I'm not saying it COULD NOT POSSIBLY BE an alien life form. I'm just saying it isn't. Also for the record... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING will come of this footage. Secret military aircraft are not about to cause any disturbance in our homes. You do not need to believe insipid old me. You just need to keep your eyes peeled and realise that.. NOTHING IS HAPPENING. Nothing is going to happen. Because nothing in that, or similar videos mean anything. Again, you don't have to believe me.. but events will transpire and at no point in the future will anybody say:

"Oh.. so THAT'S what those lights in the youtube video meant!"

maybe it was jesus doing his second coming act, but when he saw how shoddy and crack ridden the " hood" looks ( see all posts on Peckham of late ), he changed his mind and went back to the clouds with his angel mates

It was December after all and that was his Birthday

oh well.

(Apologies to any Christians out there,I dont have a beef with the morality and inherent decent aspects of your faith but this post really has it coming)

i saw something awesome over clapham common once. I was with a table load of people and we all looked up going whaaaat?

I think in the end we decided, as there was no headlines anywhere, not a mention. that it must have been meteor burn up. seems lame tho because it was not only large but way slower than a shooting star. cruised right over us, for definate was not a plane. We were spooked for a while. I made a quick call to the interplanetary society and was told naah just a firework probably. So,forgot about it. As you do. I remember how i felt like a character in close encounters for a while there.

Met someone once who saw a large v shaped thing over his head that had odd symbols on its underbelly. he got obsessed and looked them up. Closest he could find was ancient egyptian symbols for 'wheat' . Gets you crazy.

I always think it a misnomer to say UFO when we mean aliens. Anything up there you can't identify is a UFO by definition surely? I can see why the Apache didn't count though, if you look very closely you can almost make out his name on top of the helmet by the cabin light. No UFO that.

On the subject of aliens, mathematics would suggest we're not alone - so I don't think heightened awareness is necessarily loony. The universe is too big a place.

However, the same maths would suggest that since we've only be bunging electromagnetic radiation out there at the speed of light for less than a hundred years, and the milky way (for example) is 100,000 light years across, that to date we've only announced our presence to around 0.0001% of our own galaxy, and a ridiculously small percentage of the overall universe.

So it would be exceedingly unlikely that the aliens would know we're here, and a wee bit self obsessed to assume that just because we've announced ourselves that they're going to come running.

I have, however, painted 'mine's a pint' in modern rosetta-stone-stylee on the roof in anticipation of their arrival.

I am no scientist; but I was watching Discovery on a working from home day and they were saying that the idea that aliens would be able watch our TV broadcasts is a myth as the signals disperse around space evenly, by the time they got to the planet Zarg the signal would be so dispersed that there would be coherent signal to turn into images.

Why send an Apache after a UFO? Its a very slow helicopter, well armed but slow and was never designed for air to air intercepts.

Live long and prosper.

Helicopters over London rather than military jets? Probably a little more inconspicuous, although granted - most people could identify an Apache. Secondly (and probably more importantly), the ability to hover in terms of being able to get better images of anything 'unidentified' and then being able to land almost anywhere.

UFO's should not infer Aliens. It's a much misinterpreted term. Any flying object in the sky is a UFO unless YOU are able to name it.

christian952 - Where are all your other videos?

Having looked at the video I cannot see any evidence of a helicopter - let alone an Apache helicopter. Equally the "UFO" is pretty limited in visual detail - appears to be a light seen from various angles and filmed with a very unsteady hand.

To even make me consider the possibility of aliens visiting Planet Earth (and in particular Camberwell New Cemetery - who would choose that over say - The Grand Canyon, Everest, Tower Bridge, Eiffel Tower, or a host of other natural or manmade objects) or of wicked global conspiracies I'd need some damn convincing evidence - and this is not it.

    • Depends on who can afford to purchase or lease it and what The Dulwich Estate, Stonegate and Southwark Council will allow to be built or operate on the site. Whatever it is, it needs to attract footfall for itself and businesses around it. The question to ask is what does that part of Dulwich need, that is not within the locality, which will attract custom and footfall, that the site can accommodate and that can offer parking which it already has available. In between Cox's Walk, Dulwich Village, Dulwich College and the park, some sort of establishment that sells drinks and meals. Bit then I'm just chucking ideas around, or maybe someone, Dean, has some radical idea's to take it in a totally different direction.    Whatever it becomes it has to be better than the rotting site and eyesore it currently is. Good luck to anyone who takes on the project to redevelop the former Grove Tavern.
    • Some of the problems with the drains are down to the council I think. There was a small lake on the northern side of goose green this morning (probably not a bad thing as it might float some of the dog waste out of the park into the drains eventually).  anyway, I saw it resolved by some bloke clearing the leaves on a drain in East Dulwich Road north (at least the bit in the road drained away and stopped flooding the park further). If the council cleared the leaves and streets more than once every three months these problems would happen less. There's plenty of surplus revenue from the roads so I dont understand why the council can't keep them clean.
    • Hi all,  We recently had the front badge stolen from our VW Golf, the car sensor is kept behind the badge and was also stolen. This was two weeks ago and since then have noticed other VWs around ED had also had the same issue, a badge and sensor stolen.  We've been quoted over £1000 from our local VW garage to replace these.  I am aware this has been going on for some time in South London generally (https://www.theguardian.com/business/article/2024/may/04/vw-cars-parts-theft-cruise-control-sensors-insurance-golf-passat), which leads me to think... a.) It's VWs issue for this terrible design fault so why should we pay b.) If we do get a new sensor and badge the same thing will surely happen again, thus leading to further costs down the line I wonder if anyone else who had this issue is on the group? And how they dealt with VW? They are being very unhelpful and in our most recent correspondence said we 'should have kept the car in a garage' 🫠
    • The long empty site at the top of Lordship Lane by the Library is now a cute little bar and restaurant -  Victus and Bibo.  We had a few beers there on Saturday night and it was very welcoming.
