ETA: Reliable, reasonably priced and competent work.

And - without being asked - he will give you addresses of places where he has done similar work (if it's something you can see from the street, obviously!) so that you can check it out.

He will also tell you what your options are regarding materials etc and what effect that will have on price.

He also explains exactly what he is going to do and why, which in my case was extremely helpful!
