Today I went to Dylways Garden to collect some hollyhock seeds. I came away with a lot more! But my goodness, what a garden! It's lovely. Even at this time of year when gardens, including mine, look terrible. The people in charge are putting in so much work to make this patch a little oasis of loveliness. And now they have a grant, thank goodness, and they are putting it to such good use.

I can only urge people who have the time to go and give a little help. Maybe just an hour a week. And you'll be fed and watered as you work! It's amazing what has been achieved. Community action at work! And something that could be achieved throughout the borough.

Thank you so much to both A and chris.

I appreciate your encouraging and supporting comments .

Yes we have achieved quite alot this summer even with just 4 or people popping in now and then.

It would be really appreciated if more volunteers cdould offer an hour here and there. we are trying to get winter growing up and running, I am looking for help to make a veg patch 9 by 3.5ft if any one can with getting it on its way That would be great.

Yes Anne I love sharing the plants I grow and we sell them cheaply too to raise more funds for next springs

Plants seeds/materials etc.

The funding will be spent to create a lovely seating /eating area and a nice dog Run fo the residents that have dogs, and some nice plants.

So yes even though summer is on its way out we are still out there trying to get a little more

done before the real winter days arrive.

If any one can come along and help out that would be great.

Free plants to all volunteers through out the year, and you shall be fed and watered as always whilst your here.

Hope to hear from some of you even if its for an hour only That hour is precious to us.

    • Hello.   Thanks Nigel and Hparker 😀   I've got new slots available for new students looking for a piano teacher or guitar teacher.   You could start in the new term beginning September, or I'm also available adhoc-styles through the summer holidays at times.   I teach all ages, in most styles, in lots of different ways according to how you learn/like to learn.   Give me a call or text on 07730 402336.   I have connections to lots of performance opportunities/networks too.   I run regular events /student concerts, and play in bands/perform.   Natalie.
    • So do I, but I think they are in trouble as well.  Anyway, that space wouldn't be big enough.
    • I'm not talking about Starmer. I was responding to a post which  said that  Corbyn was unelectable. How people voted in the "more hotly contested election" is irrelevant. Corbyn wasn't leading the Labour Party then. Starmer was. And the turnout for Labour reflects that.
