I wonder if anyone knows who I am referring to, probably older residents of ED will. Will reveal answer in about a week (sooner if load of responses). A while back in time, won't say how long as it would narrow down answers, a musician lived on L.L.above the Co-op supermarket, now occupied by three estate agents. He had his guitars hanging on the wall and used to walk his great dane dog up Northcross Road to buy his fruit and veg from Mum's stall, and also used to eat frequently in the Indian restaurant on the same road. He went on to be very successful and now lives in a multi-million pound house, so it just goes to show, from little acorns etc etc.

Didn't Carl Barat, spend some time here? I seem to remember something or other from an interview. Not altogether certain about it or if he had a big dog.

Edgar B lives round the corner from my mum, up near The Junction.

She'll pass his gaff on her way to church each day, it's doubtful he'll be playing 'Out Demons Out' that often, but I reckon she'd approve if he does.

Actually scrub that, to set the record straight HonaloochieMa DOES NOT in any way shape or form approve of the song referred to above and considers her son a bold pup for even hinting at such.

She won't actually go so far as swinging a dish cloth at his lower extremities next time she sees him, but she'll give him that tight-lipped narrow-eyed slow head shake she knows makes him feel uncomfortable.

And then make him eat an unfeasibly large dinner.

That'll learn me.

You never know, HB.

Maybe there will be a blue plaque outside her house someday!

    • Well yes.  But only up to a point eu countries have had to spend a LOT of money to accommodate English madness  - and has had to deal with years of incoherent positioning.  It has destabilised the EU as a group - or has at the very least distracted it and consumed bandwidth  which is why Putin was so pro-Brexit. Which enabled other subsequent events - it’s hard to imagine the world as it is now without Brexit.  A stronger EU.  Uk not a mess and in its own after multiple elections and way more prime ministers than 9 years could possibly allow   a stronger united front
