Award-winning cakes in East Dulwich by local caterer Dolce Vita Catering at The Great Taste Awards

Recommended Posts

Dear All

We are a local caterer and cake-maker in East Dulwich (stall outside Cheese Block)and are delighted to announce that FIVE of our cakes have won either one or two gold stars at The Great Taste Awards this year. It?s the first time we have entered Great Taste, so it really is a massive achievement.

Great Taste, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, is the largest and most prestigious accreditation scheme for speciality food and drink in the UK. It is, without a doubt, the benchmark for fine food and is otherwise known as the ?Oscars? of the food world.

Over 10,000 products entered Great Taste in 2013. Each entry is blind-tasted by a panel of food experts (by the likes of Antonio Carluccio) and judged on taste alone rather than fancy packaging or branding. Only the finest food and drink receive gold stars.

Dolce Vita?s award-winning cakes are.....

 Chocolate brownies (You may remember that we also won Best Brownie in Dulwich a while ago!)

 Raspberry Bakewell Tart

 Carrot cake

 Vanilla bean cupcake with white chocolate frosting

 Apple and almond cake

We make beautiful, delicious bespoke celebration cakes and cupcakes for all occasions and we can also provide a full catering service (savoury and sweet menus). Our Saturday cake stall at the Cheese Block will be restarting from this Saturday 7th September, selling our award-winning cakes.

Dolce Vita Catering, cakes & cupcakes

Well done Dolce Vita, very well deserved. I love your cupcakes and my favourite cake treat is your yummy carrot cake so can definitely understand why they won the stars. If you haven't popped by the stall on a Saturday I definitely think its worth treating yourself.
Your cakes are hands down the best I've ever tasted! We moved into the area at the start of the year, and it's always exciting to see you on a Saturday outside the Cheese Block. Heartily recommended.

You seem not to understand the meaning of "national debt".  Have you perhaps been relying on someone else's usage? I'm sorry to hear of Starmer's decimation.

So I've dug out the url to have another try, this time without embedding:  https://x.com/guyshrubsole/status/1858490339356533018 .  Seems ok.   in reply to my own "Where did you get this from?" response to your post at https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/353788-is-rachel-reeves-becoming-the-new-liz-truss/?do=findComment&comment=1688310, in which you again spoke of the government's "doubling the national debt". The above merging of my posts in response to Sue and to Jazzer have been done by the forum system, so there's no point in my trying again to separate them.  I've already tried editing out the merging and reposting the one to jazzer, but ended up with the same forced merge.  Apologies. Latest edit.  The moral seems to be: don't try making two consecutive posts or they'll be liable to merging.  I've now been able to post a freestanding reply to jazzer's post now that there's an intervening post.
