We've just moved to the UK and it looks like we're going to have to home-school our 12 year old daughter for goodness knows how long as there are no places on The Charter waiting list - anyone else in a similarly tragic position? Or does anyone know of any home schooling groups around here (SE21)? Pleeeeeease let me know if you do...

There is a big home school community in South East London. I'm not a member myself, but if you google you should come up with some websites.

I am sure if you contact southwark (assuming you live in the borough) they will be able to direct you to schools with spaces. Competition between schools has driven performance up in all local schools

You won't have to home school unless you want to as there are many other schools in South East London and there will be a place somewhere. Call your local council and the neighbouring ones (Lewisham and Lambeth) for advice on schools in the area.
