Guitar teacher serving East Dulwich, lessons available

Hello!

I'm a guitar tutor based in Kennington and serving the local area including East Dulwich. I am currently looking to take on more pupils from September, and since this forum has provided me with some great East Dulwich students before, hopefully we can do the same again :)

I am a 28 year-old professional musician with 20 years guitar playing experience in rock, pop, dance, classical and metal. I've a degree in music technology and I am a session musician for various London-based bands.

I enjoy tutoring all abilities from absolute beginners to experienced players. I try to keep things relaxed and fun, and provide lessons in the comfort of your own home. I have a profile on The Tutor Pages which tells you everything you might want to know about me and my lessons - James Tae on The Tutor Pages.

Please feel free to email me at [email protected] if you're interested in taking up lessons or just have any questions!

Thank you

James

Recommendation for Guitar tutor, James Tae.

I've had many lessons with James and always found his teaching to be relaxed and enjoyable. James teaches many styles of guitar playing and I'm always surprised at how seamless he'll switch between any style/genre of music... and as I'm a beginner.. I've also found him to be very patient! Nice chap too !

His number is 07709-448845.

    • Hi - we are being quoted for a new roof and want to sense check any quotes. Has anyone had a Victorian terrace roof replaced recently and could share the rough costs, please?
    • Yes that is absolutely right but when Keir Starmer has said (during partygate) "lawbreakers cannot be lawmakers" you have to question how she ever got appointed to the cabinet. Was anyone doing any due diligence? The fact she resigned so quickly might also suggest as more details of the case come out it may become more damaging to both her and the party. Wasn't it someone switching the phone back on again that triggered the police to get back in touch with her? Yet another massive own-goal.
    • Unfortunately no shows and disappearing buyers do happen on the forum as elsewhere. Sometimes life events interrupt plans (accidents, early baby arrivals etc. - both have happened to my buyers in the past!); other times people are just a little too casual. I find that in life event cases the buyer is usually very apologetic and I try to accomodate them. In the other cases I growl inwardly and see if anyone else bites!! I have found that my stress is lowered if I don't give out my address etc until a time and date for collection is made - not always a 100% guarantee, but it helps. As a side note, I'm sorry you were insulted. Personal remarks where we might be missing key information are never kind or helpful and best avoided!
    • Sue, I received my leaflet today. I see that they don't mention a caddy liner, which as you say would mean the bin gets messy so I used the link on the leaflet to see what that said about food waste. The website says 'You do not have to line it, but you can buy your own compostable liners or use newspaper'. Pity that wasn't mentioned on the leaflet. As for general rubbish the council website says 'If you have a bin you must put your waste in a bin bag first'. It's a pity the leaflet specifies black and the website doesn't. I assume they want it bagged as the examples of general rubbish on the leaflet such as crisp packaging and nappies would need bagging. Small items could fall out during rubbish collection and soiled items would need bagging to prevent contamination.
