Hey Louisa

Do they trim their bushes in Norfolk?

Miss your posts.

A well trimmed bush equates to a slightly more salubrious neighborhood, it has to be said. Mine is in good order.

Do you have a local Iceland?

Cromer does have an Iceland store, which I frequent. Along with a Morrisons, and a whole host of independent shops.  It also has some of the freshest, tastiest seafood you’ll ever come across. I recommend everyone pays a visit this summer!

Having said I wasn't going to get drawn in, I strongly object to  being called a troll by the most notorious troll there has ever been on here since the forum started.

Louisa, please  provide evidence that I've edited posts "to try and change the narrative away from my conspicuous trolling".

And while you are doing that, you can also provide evidence of my "trolling".

You won't be able to do either of those things, but you have achieved what I'm sure was your aim  of greatly annoying me.

So congratulations.

Now  please just  STFU and go back to Norfolk.

I beg your pardon?

Moi? A troll? You can take that back for starters!

Mind you, someone who is trolling (Sue) usually likes to deflect the emphasise away from themselves, so your response makes perfect sense 🤨

Have you actually read my posts?!

I didn't say I'd "rather it closed because it doesn't provide for my needs"!

I would say FFS, but admin might object. Oh. I did. Sorry admin.

Many shops round here and elsewhere don't "provide for my needs", but I don't think they should be closed down!!!

As I thought I had already clearly said, my comment on its closure was in the context of things like  Cancerian's original post re the lack of staff on the tills and their five minute wait to be served.

Cancerian also said that the self service checkouts were not in use.

Just because you have not experienced those things doesn't mean they didn't/don't happen!

And yes, re the small sizes. That's my point. That's why (some of?) the prices are cheaper, but it doesn't mean you are getting some kind of bargain.

Yes I have read your posts otherwise I wouldn't be replying. You said it doesn't sell stuff that you want and that you hope it closes down. Two separate  sentences. I'm not Imply that you want it closed because it doesn't provide for your needs.

So the occasional lack of staff on tills and having to wait ( another posters observation) is reason enough to want it gone?

You can self serve most of the time.

FFS? Now now.

Just gone back a few posts as  I wasn't sure why old faces were being discussed and one reappeared.

I recall some pretty toxic discussions on Brexit with some of the aforementioned names being rather involved.  Not sure if we want to go back there.  Of course none of this relevant to Poundland apart from the damage it has led to our economy and pocket.

Did buy some samphire sold on the side of the road in Norfolk, not sure whether you can get this in LL

Certainly not Poundland

Sainsbury's in Dog Kennel Hill normally stocks it and has done for years. As does Sopers in Nunhead.

Crikey, that seems a bit niche.

How many people use samphire in their recipes?! Admittedly I am out of touch with current cooking trends 😄

Popped in there earlier today and picked up Doritos advertised as 2 packs for £3.20 At the checkout the cashier insisted it was £2 each. Spoke to the Manager who insisted all the crisps and snacks pricing were wrong and the offers were finished!!!
Just paid for my fabric softener and left the shop.
They shouldn’t be allowed to do that!

The supermarkets are all guilty of this. The price on the shelf is often NOT what you pay when you get to the tills. That includes clubcard, membership and nectar card offers, EVEN when the offer is before the date of expiry and clearly displayed.

The staff play ignorance. Never used to be like this, remember when managers used to roam the store in a suit chatting to customers and the customer was always right? Those days are long gone.
