Hi there - we've just bought a Victorian terraced, and the carpet is in a dire state on the whole top floor. Underneath appears to be wood flooring (underflooring?), but in a pretty bad state and the floorboards are quite far apart, etc. Does anyone have a solid recommendation for a floor specialist who could come round and tell us whether it's best to restore the old floor, or give up and replace it. Ideally, they would obviously be able to do either at competitive rates. Thanks!

* Picture 1 is the floor, and picture 2 is with a smallpatch sanded to see what it wears down to.
